As Head of Academic Practice I look after student partnership projects at Newman University. Newman University seeks to promote partnership as part of its commitment to being and growing as a learning community. The chance to contribute and learn through partnership as part of a wider Birmingham project looking at student partnership in the digital age is therefore very appealing. We hope to share our pedagogy of partnership and examples of our student partnership work as we learn from colleagues across the city and grow a wider community of practice. Birmingham’s Universities have done a great deal to promote learning through student partnership and this is a chance to showcase some of the interesting work done by all our students to the benefit of the wider community. It will share the possibilities of partnership in the digital age and serve to promote dialogue, collaborative inquiry and collective action for mutual benefit.
