As Director of Teaching Innovation at Birmingham Law School, nurturing co-creation of digital curriculum with student partners is a particular passion of mine. As a lecturer, I don’t want to be viewed as ‘the sage on the stage’. Instead, I want to be a part of learning opportunities that empower students to become partners in their own learning. Like my fellow Birmingham Digital Student project leads, I welcome the opportunity to be part of this project. It brings together students and staff from across the city to inspire, create, inform and build a local community of practice around the pedagogy of partnership whilst valuing the importance of digital learning within the student experience. I look forward to working with our fellow Birmingham partners and JISC in seeing the Birmingham Digital Student Project evolve over the coming years.
